Introduction

Version 2 of Pentaho data integration contained a plugin called "Shape file reader".  This plugin actually reads certain types of ESRI shape (GIS) files.
We have made this plugin available for version 3 as well. 

Source code

The source code for the plugin is available under an LGPL license over here in subversion.

Installation

Unzip file ShapeFileReader.zip in the plugins/steps directory of your Pentaho Data Integration distribution.  Version 3.0 or higher is required for this plugin to work.
